Our Directors

  • Kristen Stevens - Director

    Kristen joined the Judson staff as the the Director of Weekday Ministries in October 2015. Kristen was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and raised in a missionary family serving in Hong Kong. She earned her B.A. in Education from Houghton College in Upstate New York and her Master’s degree from Nazareth University in Rochester, New York. She has taught in New York, Florida, and Tennessee. 

    She and her husband, Del, were married in 1981 and together have two grown daughters, Emily (married to Austin) and Laura. They welcomed granddaughter, Lydia Grace, in 2016.

  • Julie Jungman- Assistant Director

    Julie has been at Judson Weekday for 35 years. She has been married to her husband, John, for 43 years. They have attended Judson Baptist Church for over 40 years where she has taught 2 year olds in the past. She has two sons, Christopher, who is married to Ivette (also a teacher at Judson Weekday) and Jeremy, who is married to Stephanie. She has two grandsons, Matthew and Andrew.

    Julie has a servant's heart and she is ready, willing, and able to help you with anything you may need!

    We are seriously silly about education! There are over 250 years of combined teaching experience in this picture, so we know how to get the job done. But we definitely know how to have fun!

  • Ivette Jungman

    Ivette teaches PreK 3's Monday-Thursday. She has been teaching for 14 years. Ivette is originally from Chicago, but also lived in Honduras for 7 years before she made Tennessee her home over 20 years ago. She and her husband have two boys. They all attend church here at Judson Baptist.

    Ivette wanted to be an architect or a marine biologist as a child. Her home now contains over 200 children's books!

  • Tama Bennett

    Tama teaches our PreK 4's Monday-Thursday. She has 23 years of teaching experience and can't pass up a good children's book when she sees one--she has over 800 at her home! She is originally from Texas, but married a Tennessee boy and moved here. Judson Baptist Church has always been their home.

    When Tama was a child, she wanted to be a Mommy. As her own girls grew up, she needed a "baby fix" and came to teach at Judson, where she fell in love with teaching. She loves a good Cherry Limeade and an Almond Joy.

  • Mary Edgeworth

    Mary teaches our PreK 3's Monday-Thursday. She has taught at Judson for 8 years. She is originally from Kentucky, but has lived in Nashville for over 25 years with stops along the way in Virginia Beach and St. Augustine, Florida. She is married and has two grown boys. She and her husband teach the Kids Christian class at church.

    Mary wanted to be a TV news anchor as a child and she loves to snack on fruit and nuts.

  • Michelle Bridges

    Michelle is a PreK 4's teacher who teaches two 2-day classes. She was born in Crawfordsville, Indiana, but has lived her entire life in Nashville. She is married to her high school sweetheart, Joe, and together they have three children ages 20, 18, and 12. She is a member of Judson Baptist Church.

    As a child, Michelle wanted to be a teacher. She has too many children's books in her home and they seem to grow overnight! Her favorite art medium is watercolors, though she loves them all.

  • Betsy Dakin

    Betsy teaches Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday PreK 4's. She taught Kindergarten for 5 years before coming to Judson 8 years ago. She is a native Nashvilian who had a slight detour in Ohio before attending Lipscomb for college. She is married to Mike with 3 children ages 16, 13 and 7. They've been attending Judson Baptist Church for over 15 years.

    Betsy has always wanted to be a teacher, unless gymnastics or ice skating would have worked out.

  • Jayna Ratliff

    Jayne teaches Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday PreK 4's. This is her 7th year at Judson, but she has been teaching for 15 years. She is from Kentucky, but has been living in Tennessee for 20 years. She is married to her high school sweetheart and they have two girls currently attending JT Moore and Hume-Fogg. Her family attends Lakeshore Christian Church.

    Jayna totally wanted to be a cheerleader as a child! Today she loves strawberries and nutella and any form of painting.

  • Susan Grove

    Susan teaches Tuesday, Wednesday, & Thursday PreK 4's & 5's. She grew up in Abbeville, AL, and is married with two children. This is her tenth year at Judson! She has always wanted to be a teacher and has at least 1,500 children's books in her home.

    Susan's favorite art medium is watercolor and she loves anything salty!

  • Jodi Harrison

    Jodi teaches our oldest PDO group on Tuesdays & Thursdays. She has been teaching since 2000, but took time off after having each of her four children. She was born in Louisiana and raised in Atlanta, but has called Brentwood home for a long time. She and her husband and children attend Brentwood United Methodist Church, where they've attend for more than 18 years.

    As a child, Jodi dreamed of being an Egyptologist (she still does!) and she loves any art that's messy!

  • K-Sue Gunter

    K-Sue teaches Monday-Thursday in our PDO program. She has been teaching for 22 years. Originally from Texas, K-Sue has called Nashville home for 30 years. She and her husband have been married for 33 years and have two children, ages 28 and 24. Her children live here and in Johnson City, TN.

    As a child, K-Sue wanted to be a cowboy. She loves watercolors of landscapes and chips and salsa will make her happy just about any day.

  • Pam Seavers

    Pam teaches our five year old PreK class four days a week. She has been teaching since September 1996 and grew up wanting to take after her parents, as they were both teachers! Pam is from Lakeland, Florida, and she has a 29 year old daughter. She attends St. B's Episcopal Church.

    Pam says books are her weakness and she probably has more than 100 in her home. Watercolors are her favorite art medium.

  • Susan Oaks

    Susan teaches the Middle 2 year olds in our PDO program. She is originally from Michigan, though she has lived several places as the wife of a Navy man. She has two children and a daughter in law. Her children live here in Nashville, which she enjoys immensely! She attends Judson Baptist Church, where she has done just about everything from VBS to greeting.

    Susan has always wanted to be a teacher and has a shopping "weakness" for children's books!

  • Sarah Mullins

    Sarah teaches in our PDO program Monday-Thursday and has been for 19 years. She is from Nashville and has been married for over 40 years. She has five children and six grandchildren, many of whom have or are currently attending Weekday. 

    Sarah has always wanted to be a teacher and has a floor to ceiling bookshelf full of children's books to prove it!

  • amy lindelof

    Amy is in her fourth year teaching at Judson. She teaches the 12-18 month class on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the two year old class on Mondays and Wednesdays. She is a Nashville native and has been married to her husband for almost 19 years. She has two children, a Sophomore at Overton and a 6th grader at Croft.

    Amy loves to travel and spend time with her family and their pets.

  • TRAcy erickson

    Tracy teaches in our PDO program Monday-Thursday. She is beginning her 9th year at Judson. Tracy was born in Birmingham, but has lived in Tennessee for 33 years. She is married to Scott and they have two grown children and one son-in-law. She also (and perhaps most importantly!) became a grandmother this year! She and her husband attend World Outreach Church in Murfreesboro.

    Tracy has hundreds of children's books in her home. Two of her favorite art mediums are music and dance, but she will always take a break for popcorn!

  • Lisa Burt

    Lisa is a Floater Monday-Thursday. She has been doing this important job for 3 years now. She has been married since 1999 and has four children. She attends Spring Hill United Methodist Church where she helps with the nursery, Sunday School, and VBS.

    Lisa wanted to be a veterinarian as a child and she enjoys photography.

  • Shannon Cohen

    Shannon teaches in our PDO program on Mondays and Wednesdays. She is beginning her sixth year at Judson, but children have always been a part of her life. Shannon was born in Alabama, but raised in Tennessee. She and her husband now have two precious ones of their own, ages 3 and 15 months. They attend Bethel World Outreach.

    As a child, Shannon dreamed of becoming an Olympic figure skater. Her favorite snack is a chocolate chip cookie!

  • Laurie Ericson

    Laurie is a Floater. She has worked at Judson in various capacities for 7 years, though if you count homeschooling her three children, she has more than 20 years of education experience! Her family attends Judson Baptist Church. Despite her children being grown, she probably has more than 100 children's books in her home.

    When Laurie was little, she wanted to tour with The Jackson 5.

  • Diana Ambrose

    Diana teaches PDO on Tuesdays and Thursdays. She is from Nashville (born at Baptist Hospital!) and is starting her third year at Judson. She is married with 3 children and 4 grandchildren. She says the best part about being a grandparent are "headlights and taillights--we love to see them come and when they leave, we can sit down and rest!" Diana teaches a ladies Life Group class here at Judson Baptist Church.

    For as long as she can remember, Diana wanted to be a Preacher's Wife. Though she dated several preachers, she didn't marry one of them! She LOVES Play-doh because it's messy and Dove dark chocolate with a glass of very cold MILK!

  • Terri Kinkade

    Terri loves on our babies all day in our PDO program, four days a week. She has been teaching for forever! She is a native Nashvillian (unicorn!) and is married with 5 sons and 2 grandchildren. As a child, she wanted to be a nurse.

    Terri loves anything chocolate and any kind of watercolors.

  • Marci Hutto

    Marci teaches 2 year olds Monday-Thursday in our PDO program. She is a Nashville native (unicorn!) with four children and five grandchildren. She has taught Sunday School and VBS for forever and she sings soprano in her church choir.  Ordinarily she has a HUGE stack of children's books in her home, but she recently moved and gave them all away!

    When she was younger, she wanted to build tree houses for a living. She loves helping children create paper bag puppets--their creativity comes alive! Her favorite snack is fruit.

  • Jennifer Langley (AKA Langley)

    Growing up, there were always so many Jennifers that this lady right here goes by Langley. Langley teaches in our PDO program at Judson and has been teaching for over 20 years. She was born and raised here in Nashville. She attends Tusculum Cumberland Presbyterian Church and loves to be involved in just about everything related to children that they have going on.

    Langley wanted to be a teacher and own a dance studio, which is kinda what she does now (Zumba, anyone?). She hoards children's books like crazy and tries to eat healthy, but if a Doritio or a Funyun was around, she probably wouldn't turn it down.

  • lesley Eaton

    Lesley teaches in our PDO program in a 2 year old room and is also a Floater. She has 13 years of teaching experience. She is married and has two sons, ages 14 and 11. Her family attends Tusculum Presbyterian Church and they are all very involved. 

    As a child, Lesley wanted to be a famous athlete. Her family has more than 100 books in their home and even more in her school storage room as they can't get enough! She loves free art the best (let them do whatever they want!) and has never met a snack she didn't like.

  • heather killebrew

    Heather is in her second year here at Judson. She grew up in Marietta, GA, and attended college at OIe Miss. She worked for several years in an urban ministry in New Orleans where she met her husband. They have been married for 10 years and have 3 children. They've been in Nashville for 5 years and attend Midtown Fellowship.

    Growing up, Heather wanted to run an orphanage. She has hundreds of children's books in her home and can be won over by sour watermelon gummies.

  • ploy hamar

    Ploy is a familiar face to Judson Weekday. She taught for 12 years here, then took a break to be a personal assistant at Lipscomb. Now she's back! Ploy teaches in our PDO program in the 2 year old classroom. Originally from Thailand, she is married with two children, Brooke and Maggie.

    Ploy loves all forms of art and if your child has her, you will quickly find out she is kind of amazing!

  • Jennifer Becket

    Jennifer is in her 6th year of teaching and this year she's teaching 2 Day 3's on Tuesday & Thursday. She is originally from South Texas. She and her husband, Logan, have two children and attend Fellowship Bible Church in Brentwood.

    When Jennifer was a child, she wanted to be a princess! Now she has "too many" (is that even POSSIBLE?) children's books in her home and loves a little guac with her chips (Texas Forever!).

  • Lynley Jackson

    Lynley is in her first year at Judson Weekday, but previously she taught 2nd and 4th grade. She grew up in Rome, GA, but graduated from Auburn University. She moved to TN right before marrying her husband 25 years ago. Lynley and her husband have four children, two of which are adopted from China. They attend and are very involved at Christ Presbyterian Church.

    A fruit lover, Lynley has always wanted to be a teacher and loves watercolor! Find her in a three day 3's class Tuesday-Thursday!

  • chris fahy

    Chris is new to our team, but she has taught for 27 years! She moved from Florida 26 years ago and currently lives in Fairview. She has three children (19 years and older!) and is engaged to David. When she was a child she wanted to be a teacher and she loves watercolors.

    If you want to bring Ms. Chris something sweet, bring her strawberries! She won't turn them down!

  • kimberly price

    Kimberly is teaching our Monday/Wednesday 3's class. She is in her 10th year of teaching (before coming to Judson she taught nine years teaching in elementary grades). She is a Nashville native (shake her hand!) and one of four children. Kimberly attends Church of the City and spends much time doing mission work in Honduras.

    Her favorite snack is popcorn and she loves painting and photography.

  • Christi Manlove

    Christi is teaching 3 days a week this year as she enters her 27th year of teaching. She is originally from Knoxville and has 2 teenage sons, along with one 3 year old daughter who will be attending Weekday this year. She is married to Jason.

    She has always wanted to be a teacher and has 100's of children's books in her home. If you want to get on her good side, bring her some fruit and chocolate.

  • aimee glenn

    Aimee Glenn is a fan favorite around here and is coming back to us at Judson Weekday after a brief hiatus. She is floating and we are so happy she's here again!

  • kirsten shive

    Kirsten is our PreK Music Teacher at Judson and will lead our preschoolers to know and love music! She has taught music for 23 years. She also teaches a babies-four year olds class at Sound Start Early Childhood Music in Brentwood. She is from Kansas City, Missouri, but she and her husband have lived in Nashville for more than 10 years. Her children attended Judson Weekday in the past, so she already feels like a part of the family!

    Kirsten and her family attend Trinity Church of Nashville where she and her husband serve on the worship team. When growing up, she wanted to be a ballerina. She loves anything involving music and any kind of fruit, nuts, or dark chocolate.

Judson Weekday Ministries is a ministry of Judson Baptist Church. Judson believes in The Baptist Faith and Message. You can trust our teachers will never teach anything out of step with the Bible or this belief statement.
